PANCO Members POL-MARE in Poland and ADVANCE DYNAMIC LOGISTICS CO., LTD. in China coordinated the transport of a life-size deer sculpture from China to Olsztyn, Poland. The two-crate, 449 kg shipment moved by truck to Shanghai Pudong International Airport, then by air to Warsaw via Frankfurt, before POL-MARE completed customs clearance and final delivery.
POL-MARE, PANCO member in Poland, together with its Chinese PANCO partner ADVANCE DYNAMIC LOGISTICS CO., LTD., successfully coordinated the international transport of a life-size deer sculpture from China to Olsztyn, Poland.
The unusual shipment required close cooperation between both members and careful planning at every stage. Due to the sculpture’s dimensions and the project schedule, air freight was selected as the most suitable transport solution.
The cargo consisted of two wooden crates measuring 261 × 84 × 224 cm and 118 × 68 × 57 cm. Although the total gross weight was 449 kg, the shipment had a chargeable weight of 895 kg because of its considerable volume.
Manufactured in China, the sculpture was first transported by truck to Shanghai Pudong International Airport. ADVANCE DYNAMIC LOGISTICS coordinated the origin operations and export arrangements before the cargo was flown from Shanghai to Warsaw via Frankfurt.
Upon arrival in Poland, POL-MARE managed the customs clearance procedures and completed the final delivery using its own fleet. The crates were transported safely to Olsztyn, where the sculpture was installed in one of the city’s public parks.
The monument represents the largest deer species known to have lived in the territory of present-day Poland. Its official unveiling ceremony has now taken place, with POL-MARE also supporting the initiative as one of the project sponsors.
The operation demonstrates how cooperation between PANCO partners can combine local expertise, international coordination and technical freight knowledge to manage oversized, unusual and culturally significant cargo.
Further projects may soon follow, as the Polish Hunting Association is already considering the transport of additional animal sculptures, including a roe deer, wild boar, fox, hare and squirrel.
