They have been working for this company since 5 years ago and controlled their inbound supply chain from Asia to Germany by consolidating weekly air freight shipments. The current project consisted of setting up a suppliers distribution centre for this customer. Pls. see a video of the project at **BLUE FREIGHT** is in charge of: - Inbund Logistics from Asia, as weekly air freight consol shipments - Receiving the cargo at **BLUE FREIGHT**'s warehouse from suppliers in Europe and Asia - FIFO Storing - Pick-packing and sorting the products into KANBAN bins - Delivery to customers production line - Keep the inventory records The major challenges on this project are the many small construction parts (lenses, screws, cables, bolts, etc.), boxed cargo, and whole pallets, as well as that cargo is very sensitive and high value. **BLUE FREIGHT** had to implement a massive IT support in order to keep up with daily reporting requirements for all involved parties (suppliers and customer). As **BLUE FREIGHT** has been in charge for the inbound logistics already they can now provide supply chain visibility from supplier in Asia until receipt at production through our web system blueTrace Orders need to be packed same day and delivered into production the next morning while maintaining FIFO. Customer was used to receive their parts between 9 – 11 am whereas production starts working at 5 am. **BLUE FREIGHT** implemented a “night dock” with customer which means that their drivers deliver the packed materials between 24:00 – 02:00 am, unload by themselves and place materials in the dock so that production can receive goods directly when they start working. **BLUE FREIGHT** is holding a 3 years contract for now.
