BRX CARGO (Brazil) achieves Dangerous Goods (DGR) Certification for Air Transport

Between February and March 2026, your Pangea partner in Brazil, BRX CARGO, completed a four-day intensive training program on Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) offered by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in São Paulo. The course focused on international standards for handling, documenting, and transporting hazardous materials by air.

Murilo Rosário, from BRX CARGO’s International Business department, represented the company. “Dangerous goods transportation allows no room for mistakes. This training ensures that BRX CARGO is fully prepared to handle every stage of the shipment in accordance with IATA’s international regulations. Errors in documentation or packaging can lead to cargo holds and directly impact logistics and delivery times. Our goal is to ensure that all shipments, including those classified as dangerous, move quickly and safely. Few companies truly master the complexities of IATA regulations, and by having a certified team, we position ourselves as a player capable of handling a wide variety of commodities,” says Rosário.

Even before certification, BRX CARGO had successfully handled dangerous goods shipments. Operations Manager Marina Manzano highlighted a recent export of medical, surgical, and diagnostic instruments from Viracopos International Airport in Campinas, Brazil, to Johannesburg, South Africa, emphasizing strict compliance and coordination at every stage of the operation.

BRX CARGO works with airlines specially certified to transport hazardous materials, ensuring safe handling and compliance. Pricing and Products Manager Elias Fernandes adds that quoting and booking international freight also requires evaluation of technical aspects such as flash points and temperature control.

With this certification, BRX CARGO strengthens its capacity to handle a broader range of commodities requiring specialized air transport.
