# VERUS GLOBAL (China) joins Maersk VIP Cocktail Lunch, Unlocking Growth and New Opportunities

**VERUS GLOBAL**, your Pangea partner in China, and one of the largest Block Space Agreement (BSA) freight wholesalers for Maersk in China, recently attended Maersk's exclusive Customer Cocktail Lunch. Hosted by Maersk’s Chief Product Officer, Johan Sigsgaard, and Greater China Managing Director, Silvia Ding, the gathering celebrated the longstanding relationship between Maersk China and its VIP customers.

![](https://cdn.pangea-network.com/2024/11/VERUS-GLOBAL-China1-1.jpg)During the event, Johan and Silvia proactively introduced Maersk's new alliance with Hapag-Lloyd as "Gemini," starting in February 2025, which is one of the biggest market changes in the shipping industry next year. **VERUS GLOBAL** eagerly anticipates the strategic advantages this alliance will bring. Representing **VERUS GLOBAL**, Shaw attended the gathering and had some pleasant chats with the top management level of Maersk and explored potential opportunities to work together more closely and further. Currently, **VERUS** holds a weekly fixed allocation of 100 FFE (Forty-Foot Equivalent) on Maersk's Far East to Europe route, with plans to double this allocation annually. This event not only reinforced **VERUS GLOBAL**’s commitment to its alliance with Maersk but also highlighted its proactive approach toward seizing growth opportunities in a rapidly evolving market.
