The largest piece (an offshore winch main drum assembly) weighed in at 74 MT and measured over 168” in diameter – requiring special permits at short notice from multiple local authorities, and police escorts for the 18 axle flatbed trailers deployed. Two giant mobile cranes (1x300 ton and 1x130 ton) were used to flip the reels onto their sides for transport to the port, where the cargo arrived ahead of schedule. The company’s team of dedicated project/BB specialists took two months to coordinate and then complete the project.
