# 21st PEKAES (Poland) branch in Kalisz, a dynamic start and further expansion of the Group in 2021

Kalisz is a new, strategic point on the map of the company's terminals. The 21st **PEKAES** branch in the Greater Poland, which includes a distribution terminal, has started operation today. The facility increases the operational capabilities of **PEKAES** in this part of the country. The opening of the **PEKAES** branch in Kalisz is the next stage of investment in the group's groupage segment. The choice of the location for the new terminal wasn’t accidental. Kalisz, the former capital of the Greater Poland voivodeship, is the second largest center in the area. **PEKAES** has been very active in this part of the country for many years, and the intensive development of the entire voivodeship leads directly to a large extent into the scope of **PEKAES** activities. _"We chose Kalisz because the scale of our operations is growing in this region of the country. The terminal is located in a perfect location, thanks to which we can optimize the supply chain and provide logistics services in even shorter time. Our business Partners from Kalisz and the surrounding area, will certainly benefit because their parcels will have a much shorter route to cover now. Of course, it isn’t the end of our investments, along with the business development, we plan to expand the terminal space in Kalisz, following the path of further expansion of our distribution network",_ says Maciej Bachman, President of the Management Board of **PEKAES**. **PEKAES** focuses on the development of cooperation with the local companies and announces further expansion abroad. The new facility will also part an important role in the process of goods distribution on the route between Poland and Germany. _"The PEKAES terminal in Kalisz comprises a link for deliveries between Poznań and Łódź, Warsaw and Berlin. For years, we have been seen record increases in the volume of cargo that we transport between Poland and our western neighbor. Branch in Kalisz strengthens our distribution network significantly"_, adds Maciej Bachman. The 21st **PEKAES** branch is located at 1 Rozwojowa Street in Kalisz, in the south-western part of the industrial zone of the city. Its area is 3,000 sq.m. The new terminal complies with highest standards and is perfectly prepared for the implementation of projects in the 24-hour system. The close vicinity of the national road No. 25 and the A2 motorway provides excellent connections in all directions of Poland. **PEKAES** develops the distribution network consistently, invests in contract logistics and the development of customs services. Over the last two years, the **PEKAES** Group had put at the disposal of its clients modern terminals, including Opole, Białystok, Zielona Góra, Mińsk Mazowiecki and Legnica. The company launched a new terminal in Olsztyn at the end of August 2020, and the facility in Gdańsk in March this year. The national distribution network of **PEKAES** is one with the advantage of the operator. All of the company's terminals function as connected system and they are enable convenient transport by land, sea and air.
